Airport Exchange Rate
11/13/25 - 1,335 ARS / USD
11/18/25 - 1,360 ARS / USD
ATMs - refer to your bank's policies for understanding fees. Exchange rates vary per bank as well. We will make a test withdrawal when we arrive to give you an idea of the rates/fees.
ATM Fee at Airport (11/13/25) - 14,350 ARS / $10
How much should I have?
$100 - $200 USD should be more than enough for taxis, food, and incidentals - where they don't accept credit card! If you want to purchase larger souvenirs at smaller vendors, exchanging more may be useful.
Souvenirs, Food, Clothes - everything is CHEAPER in cash, but more convenient in CREDIT CARD.
Activities - like tours, stand up paddles, kayaks, etc.
Tips - better in cash, go to the right people.
UBER! Uber works in Bariloche, and may be a great option from the airport. It can be a little more delayed in Circuito Chico (about 45 min from City Center)

Argentine Pesos and USD are accepted almost everywhere. Vendors will either have a USD price in mind, or will be willing to negotiate a fair rate for USD based on the daily ARS to USD exchange rate (can look this up on google or xe.com)
Exchanging money - the forex rate for Pesos varies GREATLY. You may exchange cash at the airport, or find a bank in town. Right now we don't know the rates, but will report back when we arrive on November 13th.
ATMs - refer to your bank's policies for understanding fees. Exchange rates vary per bank as well. We will make a test withdrawal when we arrive to give you an idea of the rates/fees.
How much should I have?
$100 - $200 USD should be more than enough for taxis, food, and incidentals - where they don't accept credit card! If you want to purchase larger souvenirs at smaller vendors, exchanging more may be useful.
Credit Cards
Most major credit cards will be accepted in established places, restaurants, shops, grocery stores, cafes, etc. Often there are different prices if you pay by cash (lower) or credit card (higher). Some places will NOT accept credit cards directly, for those places, it helps to have Mercado Pago
Refer to Transport & Lodging Details - Remis (Car Services) in Bariloche will be updated shortly.
Type C: Two round pins.
Type I: Three flat pins in a V-shape. This is the most common type in Argentina.
Voltage: 220 V
Frequency: 50 Hz
Power adapter: A universal adapter or one specifically for Type C and I plugs will work.
Voltage converter: Check your device's power adapter label. If it says "INPUT: 100-240V," it can be used anywhere with just an adapter. If it is only rated for 110V, you will need a voltage converter.
Some outlets (Type C) will accommodate the typical European plug, but these are RARE! Make sure you have an adapter or two for the Type I outlet.
Here are some real life images of what we're working with!
Please refer to the Pinterest Board for inspiration. We wanted to add a few clarifications and updates to support your wardrobe choices!
Weather Considerations! We will be in Bariloche at the beginning of the summer season. This means that it is COLD in the shade and when the sun goes down (High 20℃/ 70℉; Low 6℃ / 42℉). It should be warm/hot in the sun, but please prepare with layers.
Bonfire - is MOSTLY outside, with optional indoor space. This event will be the most exposed to feeling cold.
Ceremony - on a beach, should be sun, but can be shade and wind - Layers!
Celebration - We have ample indoor and outdoor space the whole event
Grounding - We will primarily be outdoors in the early afternoon
Ceremony to Celebration Transition - We are encouraging you to have 1 primary outfit for Friday, November 28th. This means your outfit for Water and Air will be the same. We will be bussing you from the ceremony directly to the celebration. It is possible to go home and change in between, however it's not totally recommended as you'll miss the fun and activities planned during the cocktail hour!
Bags - you will have the ability and safety to bring a bag to all of the events. You can put whatever you need in it - including a change of clothes, or layers for nighttime.
We have an amazing opportunity for a private dinner on Saturday, November 29th at Anima in Bariloche. Anima offers several tasting menus and focuses on amplifying and extracting the very best from regional fare. Their menu changes from time to time, but you can use the link to view the types of courses and options available.
We have requested them to do a private seating on Saturday, November 29th. The restaurant has a max capacity of 24 people. We would like to offer this opportunity on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please use this link to R.S.V.P.
What does it cost? The full tasting menu is approximately $85. You will pay on your own at the restaurant.
Accommodation Payments - if you are unsure of how much you owe, please get in touch directly.

International Flights - Arrive in EZE by Thursday, November 27th MORNING. You'll need to then directly make your way to Bariloche to be on time for the Bonfire 🔥
Booking a continuous international flight all the way through to BRC is possible, but it will be much more expensive than separating your international and domestic itineraries.
Domestic Flights - You can book these from EZE or from AEP. The two airports are about 40 minutes away from each other by taxi (depending on traffic). If you're staying a few days in BsAs, you may be able to save a bit of time flying in and out of AEP.
Arrival & Departure Dates: In order to confirm accordingly with the hotels, we'll need you to share you travel details: Travel Details Form ASAP
Honeymooners - We are finalizing a location for our accommodation and will either be in San Martin de los Andes or Villa La Angostura.
